Job Summary/Purpose:The Stem Cell Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for providing patient focused health care. The Stem Cell Nurse will utilize the nursing process, communication skills, and problem solving techniques to deliver quality care. The Stem Cell Nurse will also be responsible for the knowledge and technical skill needed to operate a variety of mechanical devices to accomplish this task. The Stem Cell Nurse is accountable for the age groups as defined in the scope of care.
Minimum Qualifications:Current State Illinois Registered Nurse License
ACLS certified
CPR certified

Essential Physical Requirements:
* Ability to perform light to heavy work, which includes frequent lifting and positioning of patients.
* For greater than 50 pounds it may be expected that the nurse will request assistance from a co-worker for lifting and transferring.
* Ability to stand/walk 6 to 8 hours per shift.
* Ability to frequently bend, twist, reach, stoop and occasionally kneel and squat.
* Ability to perform various repetitive tasks i.e., simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation (keyboard).
* Good visual acuity is required for patient assessment, medication administration and documentation of care.
* Good hearing is essential for accurate patient assessment.
* All employees within this job classification may have high risk exposure to blood borne pathogens or other potentially infectious materials. Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
