Director of Culinary Services / Executive ChefIn this role, your executive experience will enable you to manage all Culinary Service unit operations, finances and staff within Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Midwestern Regional Medical Center. We are seeking a candidate who can direct both our 5-star kitchen and the office backing it up, engendering respect from the food service staff and CTCA management, as well as our patients and customers.
Responsibilities:
* Monitor and analyze unit performance through verification and analysis of customer satisfaction systems, financial reports and trends. Formulate an action plan ensuring business plan and budget adherence.
* Maintain product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations and investigating complaints ensuring customer and patient satisfaction.
* Establish and maintain department policies and procedures for all unit functions while creating systems and training programs for employees to ensure a safe working environment.
* Comply with all state, local and federal government agency standards, regulations and guidelines and inspect food and food preparation ensuring quality standards and sanitation regulations.
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with CTCA department heads, patients, customers and employees. Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management, Foods and Nutrition, or related field preferred with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
* Associate's degree plus 6 years of management experience in a restaurant or institutional service setting.
* Experience in a 5-star restaurant management preferred.
* Food Handlers Certificate for the state of Illinois, or the ability to obtain one within the first year of employment.
* Ability to identify defects in food preparation and service and implement improved quality control procedures.
* Ability to effectively communicate within the department and throughout the organization.
