IT Quality Assurance and Testing Manager Reporting to the AVP of IT Governance, the IT QA and Testing Manager leads a team of professional resources and consults closely with internal and external stakeholders in leading and providing direction for the testing of application and supporting systems. This role is responsible for defining and ensuring Testing Standards are maintained and aligned with CTCA's system development life cycle (SDLC), ITIL standards and industry best practices for all CTCA and 3rd party vendor application developments and enhancements.
Responsibilities:
* Establish and maintain CTCA's standard Quality Assurance and Testing methodology, processes and controls.
* Supervise the activities of the Quality Assurance and Testing Team while guiding their individual and team development through annual and monthly performance reviews, career step planning, and coaching and mentoringCoordinate Quality Assurance and Testing support for quality assurance and testing including, but not limited to:
* Unit Testing
* Functional Testing
* Integrated System Testing
* Regression Testing
* Performance/Capacity/Load Testing
* User Acceptance TestingAdministration of Testing Environments:
* Maintain physical and logical Testing environment standards and controls
* Oversee change management for Testing environments
* Schedule and control access and use of Testing environments
* Ensure appropriate tools are utilized for testing efficiency and accuracyPortfolio Management:
* Quality Assurance and Testing Scheduling
* Resource Management
* Prioritization
* Status Reporting
* Change, Risk, and Issue Management
* Planning and Budgeting Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.
* Five years of prior experience in quality assurance/testing, project management, system administration, and/or software development.
* 2 years of management/supervisory experience and/or IT staff management.
* A thorough understanding of the test phase of the Software Development Life Cycle.
* Experience in testing healthcare-related application software.
* Expert knowledge of QA processes, methodologies and frameworks.
* Experience in creation of functional, integrated and load test scripts.
* Ability to multi-task, prioritizes tasks, and quickly adjusts in a rapidly changing environment.
* Experience with testing software (defect management, testing automation, etc.).
