Complete Description
Perform assessment of clinical and life issues for the returning patients of CTCA. Provide professional nursing services in support of the physician, in the direct and indirect care of patients. Document patient health status and medication reconciliation in Electronic Health Record.
• Current Arizona RN license from an accredited college
• Current BLS/CPR Certified • Prefer three years oncology nursing experience • Working knowledge of basic computer skills
• Current OCN Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification or willing to be trained and certified once employed
• Venipuncture and central venous access (port-a-cath, PICC line or triple lumen) experience for lab draws • Must possess the ability to utilize a clinical reasoning process for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the patient’s plan of care while ensuring that coordination of services are done in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates sound knowledge and actions in the care and decision making for the oncology patient population and seeks guidance appropriately.
• The Outpatient Clinic Registered Nurse is expected to adhere and to abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Arizona Board of Nursing.
