We are currently recruiting for a full-time 40-hour per week Clinical Audit Specialist Registered Nurse for our hospital located in Northeast Philadelphia. The salaried position will work 8-hour day shifts primarily 8:30am-5:00pm Monday through Friday.
Job Summary/Purpose:Responsible for coordinating and performing all aspects of both internal medical charge reviews and of third party medical charge audits. Assists Manager of Audit and Compliance by serving as a resource for Patient Accounts, Medical Records, Finance, Compliance and Revenue Producing Departments in regard to compliance and charge capture.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License or eligible for immediate PA licensure.
* Minimum of three years Critical Care and/or Oncology nursing experience required.
* Minimum of two years experience working with medical records and hospital billspreferred.
* Basic understanding of insurance applicationsrequired.
* Excellent communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel required.
* Ability to work well with physicians and all ancillary personnel.
* Must be organized, precise, a self-starter and have good follow through skills.
