Complete Description
1. Responsible for independent operation of sonographic equipment. Performing and completing studies of cardiac ultrasound. Can take verbal and written orders (EMR) for ultrasound. Also, performs all EKG's.
2. Is able to transmit or present test results to physician.
3. Maintains backup system for all patients.
4. Maintains service logs for ultrasound equipment. Participates in file maintenance, including retrieving and filing folders and report distribution.
5. Participates in review of ultrasound billing codes for accuracy. Participates in review and revision of policies and procedures relevant to ultrasound.
Qualifications:
* Graduate of an approved school of medical ultrasonography. * ARDMS-American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers credentials required. * At least three years clinical experience in medical ultrasonography. * Current BLS/CPR required. * Ability to perform EKG's required.
