One step in providing whole spectrum care is ensuring that CTCA is always seeking and implementing new initiatives in cancer treatment and a large part of that is research.
Reporting to the Vice President, Clinical Research and the VP, Quality, Patient Safety and Clinical Innovation the Research Outcomes Associate will provide support to various Quality and Research Initiatives. In this role you will focus on managing the incorporation of quality assessment and clinical research programs using our Efficiency of Treatment program and providing in-depth interviews with patients that remains consistent in our strategy for enhancing patient outcomes. Working in the clinic with the doctors you will oversee that the clinical staff administration of the Quality of Life survey tools and organize all the data for the patients participating in the program.
Educational background/skill set:
* BS/BA in healthcare/business administration, statistics/mathematics, information management, nursing, psych, research/public health, medical records or a related health field
* Clinical experience and project management experience are preferred.
* Comfortable working on multiple projects concurrently, including mining and interpreting data from multiple sources in various ways within set time constraints/deadlines.
* Comfortable preparing reports and working with numbers, computers and various type of software.
* Excellent analytical, written and verbal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non techs.
* Self-motivated, able to carry out assignments to completion and possess a high degree of ownership, responsibility, initiative and attention to details.
* Excellent customer service focus with the ability to understand end users data requests and translate the business requirements into appropriate data reports/findings.
* Team orientation is necessary, as well as a familiarity with the health care industry.
