Cancer Treatment Centers of America, (CTCA), is identifying and evaluating candidates for the position of Network Manager. The Network Manager reports to the Director of Infrastructure at the Corporate Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.
Position Overview
The Network Manager is responsible for the overall technical planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of the Local and Wide Area Network activities. The person in this role provides technical leadership and advice on the voice and data communications networks and other network related areas. The Network Manager applies general goal and policy statements to resolve organizational and service delivery issues and problems and has considerable latitude in administering a complex and sensitive area of responsibility.
The person in this role operates at the highest technical level due to specific and verifiable expertise in creating enterprise-wide network solutions.
Responsibilities
* Assists in setting long-range plans and goals for the network infrastructure
* Makes configuration, enhancement and security recommendations
* Mentors and trains team members
* Ensures a timely response and diagnosis for trouble calls in the daily support of the CTCA network clients directly, remotely, or over the phone
* Provides overall Project Management on network and voice initiatives and makes good decisions in regards to resource planning needs
* Generation of reports regarding overall network health, item health, and network traffic analysis for WAN and LAN network devices
* Designs and Implements site Cisco Call Manager cluster and Unity Voicemail system
* Manages a team of Technicians and Administrators and serves as the last level of support in troubleshooting network usage and equipment
Education and Experience Level
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Hardware Engineering or related field preferred
* Minimum 5-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area required
* Must have at least 2 years of leadership or management experience
* Individual must have extensive experience in LAN/WAN administration, network security and data disaster recovery methods
* Experienced with technical architecture planning, deployment, and troubleshooting. Able to work with technical specialists in providing expertise, training and management
* Individual must have majority or all of the following, Cisco 6509, Cisco Call Manager, Router 7200 series, Cisco ASA or Cisco PIX
* VoIP and Wireless experience a must
* Must have experience in business continuity and redundancy designs and protocols
* Strong written and verbal skills required
* Individual must work well under pressure as well as be a strong team player
* Project Management experience is preferred
* CCIE certification a plus
* Citrix certification a plus
